Well, I promised that there was some big news, and it's also to do with motorsport as with the earlier post today. And just like the last huge news from supercars it comes from Walkinshaw Andretti United. Unlike last time, it's about the future. James Courtney and the team have parted ways for 2020. Courtney has apparently left due to a 'opportunity for the 2020 season and beyond'. We'll discuss whre this could be and who could replace him.

WHO COULD REPLACE HIM?

The favourite is Chaz Mostert, who has been linked with WAU since the beginning of the season. However, I personally don't see Mostert giving up a competitive seat with Tickford. Another option could be Todd Hazelwood, who has impressed with MSR this year. Also, Jack le Brocq could be an option. Ryan Walkinshaw has said that the replacement will be unveiled soon.

WHERE COULD HE GO?

The frontrunner is Team 18 who are rumoured to be expanding their program to two cars. Winterbottom and Courtney would be a bit of a dream combination for a midpack team, but CSR have been upping their game recently and are known as the McLaren of Supercars in their relaxed attitude. Also, seats at Tickford and MSR could be possibilities if Mostert or Hazlewood leave and replace him.

WHAT ABOUT SCOTT PYE?

Scott's currently considered to be good to retain his seat with Courtney gone, but he has also been linked with all of the above seats except Team 18.

OTHER DRIVER NEWS

In tidbits of other contract news, Nick Percat has extended his contract at BJR for another year and Matt Brabham has joined the S5000 driver lineup for the Sandown round.
