There have been lots of cars and brands that are no longer GT3 cars. Which are the best though? Here's the top 10.

10. Venturi

This never made competition. It was tested at Paul Ricard prior to the official launch of GT3 by Olivier Beretta but it never raced. The team who was meant to race them ended up racing the Ferraris instead.

9. Ascari

The KZ1-R did see competition but never successfully. It was driven by a variety of drivers in the British and European competitions including The Stig, but only recorded one podium.

8. Morgan

Morgan competed early in GT3's history, and had some unfortunate luck. It was entered quite a bit in the European and British competitions like the Ascari but also got time in the Bathurst 24 Hour (suffering an engine failure) and the Le Mans 24 (DNF in 2002, Not Classified in 2004).

7. Alpina

Before BMW joined GT3, there was Alpina with their version of an M6 GT3, the B6. It took class wins in the Nurburgring 24 Hours and wins in the GT Masters, but otherwise didn't hit the heights.

6. Maserati

The Team Calamia Maseratis were never particuarily successful. The Maserati Coupes were even less successful. Yeah.

5. Cadillac

The Caddy is finally a car that did well, albeit not in GT3 guise. The GT3 car rarely saw action due to the GTD equivalent that was focused on hard, resulting in the 2015 IMSA Pirelli World Challenge title with Johnny O'Connell.

4. Camaro

The Camaro wasn't seen very often in Europe but Australia currently has the only currently racing car, Dale Paterson's #169.

3. Lotus

One exists. It was built by Angelo Lazaris who raced it for three years in the Australian championship. It won some races but didn't reinvent the world of GT3.

2. Viper

The Viper was pretty successful and is only not still a GT3 due to the car itself being discontinued. It won several WeatherTech SCC races and also won the Dutch GT championship.

1. Jaguar

Topping this list is the Emil Frey-Jaguar. This car wasn't a factory Jag but was raced by Emil Frey who are now the official Lexus team. It never got major success but it was one of the best looking GT3 in its time and is still a brilliant car.
