Welcome to another new segment on this blog! In this segment, which has nothing to do with that TV show, we will rank cars according to their style, with the following categories:
Scunthorpe: The lowest category. Only the worst of the worst go into the Scunthorpe category.
Ungainly: The second lowest category. Should be obvious based on its name.
Median: The median category, expect most cars to be here if this follows a bell curve.
Head turner: The second highest category. Cars that make you look twice.
David Beckham: I feel guilty for putting someone like this as the top category but he is one of the most stylish men alive.
Let's get started!
Peugeot 508

We'll start with this, the Peugeot 508. It's not a Ferrari 250 in terms of style, certainly not. However, it is a very stylish car; the front end works well, as does the rear. Based on it's chic styling, it goes into the Head Turner category.
Ford Flex

Oh dear. It's a cool square, if such things exist. A few nice details but it's a very ungainly car and goes to the Ungainly section.
Audi Quattro

A car I've just recently covered on this blog, the Quattro is... angular. It's cool as anything, but it's no massive style symbol. It goes into the median.
Alfa Romeo Montreal

Not a very well known car is the Montreal. However, it's a beautiful one. Maybe the proportions side on are slightly off but it's excellent from every other angle. David Beckham.
Nissan Micra Crosscabriolet

The paper bag says it all- Scunthorpe.
Mercedes Benz SL R129

Finally, a bit of a controversial one. The SL was really stylighbut gradually got worse. With that said, I think it's still a somewhat good looking car, and I think it should go into the median.
I would agree with your assessment of the Merc..
