With this week's reveal of the Ford GT Carbon, I thought that I would rank the top 10 of similar special editions. Here is my top 10.
10. Audi R8 V10 RWS (pictured is a GT2)

The RWS Audi (named for its rear wheel steering) was realased in 2018. It isn't really a track focused special edition but it is definitely the biggest contender from Audi for this list.
9. Ford GT Carbon

The car is so new that it was the car that inspired this list. It has several new features compared to the original GT. The truly track-focused GT is the Mk2 but it's track only so doesn't qualify.
8. Bentley Continental GT 3R

The GT3R hasn't been brought back yet for the third generation Conti but it's version in the second generation was a GT3 car for the road. Easy appearance on this list.
7. Porsche 911 GT3RS

The only reason this car is so low is that the GT2RS exists. I went with the GT3 as it is still in production but this car isn't as hot as some others. Still, one of my favourite cars.
6. Corvette C7 ZL1

The latest (and last) C7 ZL1 looked super angry with extra carbon flares as well as a reworked face. It also had the go, with plenty of turn mixed in as well.
5. Nissan GTR Nismo

The Nismo GTR is gone nowadays as Nissan prepares for the next gen GTR but when it was around, it was a supercar killer for half the price. Another personal favourite of mine, the car above is the GT3 version which won Bathrust in 2015.
4. Ferrari 488 Pista

The 488 Pista is one of the more recent offerings from Ferrari, and it's already hit classic status. With its status as likely the last full V8 Ferrari performance model, it always was and it seems to have somehow exceeded the 458 Speciale, which was speciale.
3. McLaren 600LT

The 600LT isn't quite in the same class as most others here but since there is no 720S performance model yet, it makes the list. The McLaren is a very classy car, and easily deserves it's status as third on this list.
2. Mercedes AMG GTR

When you look at the GTR, you imagine a bright green V8 beast and that's really what it is. The green is for the Nürburgring, which is where it was developed. The car above is the GT3 racing version (also, a picture from my second ever article).
1. Lamborghini Huracan Performante

The Performante is a very obvious choice for #1 and it's because it really combines the most performance on this list with arguably the most style (although the McLaren and Ferrari are very close on that list). Such a brilliant car.
I love them all....
