I'm not going to have excellent pictures for many of these, but instead I'll put pictures of current cars unless there is an appropriate picture. Anyway, these are cars that won't come next year but should be hear in the new future and will make the car world more exciting.
10. Mazda RX-9 and Nissan Z

These two Japanese sports coupes both deserve a place on this list, so I decided to share the #10. The RX-9 will be the new rotary coupe from Mazda, and will be the first rotary in ten years. The Z will finally replace the 12-year-old 370Z, and if the 350Z is included, it's nearly 20 years old.
9. Alfa Romeo 6C

The 4C, as much as it is a brilliant car, is on death row. It's being replaced by a bigger coupe, to be known as the 6C. Not many details are known, but it is known that it should be on sale around 2022.
8. Volkswagen I.D. Space Vizzion

This car could be the future of motoring, and it looks good. It's a family wagon that also doubles as having some sporty elements while being an EV. If this car is the future of motoring, I'm generally for it.
7. Lightyear One

This is quite different. The Lightyear One is a fully solar powered car that is expected to be sold from 2021/22. It looks a lot like a Polestar One, but with a hood and roof full of solar panels. It costs $135k in USD and was inspired by technology from the World Solar Challenge.
6. Piech Mk0

The son of Ferdinand Piech and great-grandson of Ferdinand Porsche, Anton, founded Piech in 2017. While we haven't seen the Piech Mark Zero yet in full production form, it looks absolutely stunning (similar to the Puritalia Berlinetta at the front and a similar profile to the Jaguar F-Type). It's due in 2022, followed by an SUV and sedan with the same electric platform.
5. SCG 007

The SCG007 is one of two upcoming SCG models and they are both exciting. The first is the 004, which seems to be a car similar to the Brabham BT62 in terms of a road/track hypercar. The second is the 007, which is their entry for the upcoming WEC Hypercar rules.
4. Aston Martin Valhalla and Vanquish

These two are the remainder in the three Aston supercars that are part of the Six Year Plan. After the Valkyrie, the Valhalla is a car designed to take on the likes of the Aventador and 812 Superfast, whereas the new Vanquish is aimed at the McLarens and Huracans of the world. All three will likely share some design elements.
3. 2022 Nissan GTR

The GTR is another Nissan due for replacement; it has been refreshed significantly in 2017, but the car is originally from 2007. In 2022, it will officially be replaced, potentially by a slightly modified (externally at least) version of the Italdesign GTR-50.
2. Tesla Cybertruck

The Cybertruck has been well detailed before, but it's 2021/22 debut will still be big. It gives them two years to fix the glass ;-), and also will mean that Ford, Chevy et cetera have a lot less time to respond to it and the Rivian.
1. Lotus Evija

The top car on this list is the electric Lotus hypercar. I've done a writeup on this car before (available under the 'news' tag at the header of my blog), and while no more details have come out recently, but it's a very hyped car, not least because it's an important car in terms of Lotus' survival.
