It's time for a brand new series. This series is going to be looking at the best cars spotted across the internet. If you see an interesting car, drop me a line on my Instagram @_ignitionblog and I'll include it if there is room. Anyway, this week...

Holden Monaro HQ

The first several submissions are all from me this week. First off, we have this lovely Monaro. It's a classy example, and a very original one too with the iconic red paint colour and standard wheels.

Mazda MX5 NB:

Not a big noteworthy submission by any stretch of the word but a very underrated sports car. The NB never receives the attention of the NA, but maybe it should, as it did have improvements over the original. Sadly, lost the pop up headlights.

Toyota Supra and 700:

My final submissions for this week was a double play at a Toyota dealership. I saw the Supra on the side of the road, so I obviously stopped to have a look, and when I did I noticed something old inside. It turned out to be one of Toyota's first Australian road cars, the 700. It's not particularily good, but still...

Ferrari 360 Spider:

One of several cars submitted by Discord user Johnny4388, this car is a very nice example of the Ferrari 360 Spider. Ferrari's in red, they just work.

Lotus Elan:

Another submission by Johnny, the Lotus Elan was somewhat ridiculed in its time due to the Mazda MX5 which was better in every conceivable way. Just over 4000 were sold, including 500 in the US, meaning they are truly a modern classic.

Mercedes SLS AMG:

The final submission from Johnny, the SLS is another modern classic, but it was held in esteem for better reasons. It's more well known for it's gullwing doors and being the first supercars produced independently by Mercedes. Looks especially good in silver, too.

I've picked two of my favourites this week from the r/spotted subreddit to round out the list. First off the bat is this incredibly rare Ferrari, spotted by user MrTeamer. It's a rare custom mod by tuning company Onyx, and only 30 were made.

And secondly, one of my favourite cars of all time. Found by user LJDesigNZ, it's rare to see one anywhere, even more so in New Zealand of all places. This one is particularily interesting because of its vanity plate, STAL1N. This wouldn't mean so much, but it's the stablemate of 'LEN1N', the only Lamborghini Miura in NZ. With that said, it has drawn some awful puns in the comments section...
