Today I'm finishing my wrap of RACQ Motorfest. This part will contain the cars from the lawn sections, which were displayed in a particular order. However, I didn't follow that order when at the show. So I won't for this article. Let's begin with the Rootes Club's display, which had a lot of original Sunbeams, Hillmans and Talbots, and this modified Hillamn Imp:

This Skyline 2000GTR 'Kenmeri' was pretty insane. This car is one of my personal favourites from the entire show, it was modded but subtly and tastefully and the car itself is an icon.

This was cool. Studebakers always have a good showing at car shows, and there always seems to be at least two regardless of the size, but there was seven here. Six hawks and this. The 1975 Avanti II. I could do a story on this car in some point in the future, but we'll focus on this for now, as it is pretty insane to see. It's another first for me.

A old Bedford van which I have seen before, but it is cool still.

I will be laughed at for including the Pulsar Q in here. But I'll do it anyway.

JAG

This is another cool cult car. The Suzuki Jimny Sierra LJ10 is a pretty cool old SUV that has a lot of utilitarian appeal and is a bit of a cult car over her. It's also the reason behind Suzuki's strong Australian market presence. With that said, when it left it belched out smoke. This one is too original, but for a more rundown example I'd like to swap in a non-two-stroke motor one day.

Lovely old HQ.

I love Impalas.

Little Blue Corvette.

Look at this. The Morgan Three Wheeler, similar to the one that a car friend is restoring with his business, but this is one of the new 2015 ones. Cool.

This had the biggest crowd around it on either lawn. This is an old Daimler Ferret (I believe) a 1950s armoured car. Coolness.

Some sweet R34 here. The one behind had a rubbish picture because of sun glare, but had blue tyre lettering, which is very cool.

Finally! Something that isn't 'cool'! Something that's actually seriously uncool, as JC would say. It's a kit car called the Purvis Eureka. Comes free with Vegemite styling, innovative 'door' if I can call it that, and... Beetle mechanicals.

The Jensen Interceptor. The INTERCEPTOR!!!

Possibly my Car of the Show. It's a S2 E-Type, but wildly customised, and in brilliant blue paint.

A pair of 'Vauxhalls'. But one is a Lotus and the other is a Monaro. Still cool, ythe first Vauxhall Monaro and VX220 I've ever seen.

This car was insane. 1970 Honda R600.

The M850Csi, as seen in the previous post.

This was pretty nice to see. It was an Alfa but rally modified.

This isn't a 300SL. But it is a 50's merc.

Finally, we have the Fiat Dino. This car is also very nice and completely stock as a rock.

What was your favourite car? Please let me know in the comments.
The Little Blue Corvette. The 50s Merc is a close second.
Well my pick from these ones would be the HQ Monaro Coupe or the VRX
