The 2014 GP2 Championship was five years ago now. Now, there are some of the drivers from it in F1, some in other driving series and some not racing at the moment. But where are all of them now?
1st- Jolyon Palmer- Not racing
Palmer raced in Formula One for two or three years following his win but he was dropped by Renault towards the end of the 2017 season. He has been part of the Channel 5 commentary and analysis team ever since.
2nd- Stoffel Vandoorne- Formula E
Stoffel's raced in Formula One in 2017 and 2018 for McLaren, leaving for Lando Norris. He has since raced in the WEC as a one-off at Spa, and also has had a season in Formula E for HWA Racelab. Now, he's part of Mercedes' full factory effort at Formula E.
3rd- Felipe Nasr- IMSA
Felipe raced in F1 with Sauber for a few years but was never particularly good. He tried Formula E, and was even worse then. Now, he was in IMSA and he is doing brilliantly now. He's the reigning champion not just of the 12 Hours of Sebring but the IMSA Championship.
4th- Mitch Evans- Formula E
Mitch Evans never made it to F1, but he's now one of the top drivers in Formula E, winning one race this season and being 5th in the championship.
5th- Johnny Cecotto- Not racing
Since his F2 campaign the next year, no information seems to be around on Cecotto.
6th- Stefano Coletti- Not racing
Coletti isn't currently racing, but he's raced IndyCars, ELMS and F2 since 2014.
7th- Arthur Pic- Not racing
Arthur hasn't been seen since 2016 when he did his final F2 season. He is the younger brother of ex-F1 driver Charles Pic.
8th- Raffaele Marciello- Blancpain GT Series/Intercontinental GT Challenge
Marciello is now a top GT driver, having done a massive stint in 2019 in the Bathurst 12 Hour for the GruppeM Motorsport team as part of his Intercontinental GT Challenge commitments which opened my eyes to him. He's also driven for AKKA ASP in the Blancpain GT Series.
9th- Stephane Richelmi- WEC
Richelmi is an interesting case, where he actually raced for Corvette in the WEC before his F2 stint, and now has returned to WEC. He's now driving LMP2 with Jackie Chan DC Racing.
10th- Julian Leal- Not racing
He's also raced in ELMS in 2016 but has not been seen since then.
Some other notable drivers from that year include:
11th- Marco Sorensen- WEC (Aston Martin), British GT Championship
12th- Andre Negrao- WEC (LMP2)
15th- Rio Haryanto- Formula One (2016 Manor), Blancpain GT Asia
16th- Daniel Abt- Formula E (Abt-Audi)
17th- Simon Trummer- WeatherTech Sports Car Championship
19th- Tom Dillmann- WEC (ByKolles LMP2), Previously Formula E (NIO),
20th- Nat Berthon- WEC (LMP2), Andros Trophy
21st- Alex Rossi- IndyCar (Andretti)
24th- Artem Markelov- F2, SuperFormula, F1 development driver
26th- Conor Daly- IndyCar
29th- Pierre Gasly- F1
32nd- Nic Latifi- Currently 2nd in F2, F1 development driver
